After a lengthy management career with Parks Canada, Dave helped establish The Canals Group to provide consultant services in strategic and operational planning and visitor programming. Dave is a Member of Council for Inland Waterways International, a volunteer organization that promotes the preservation and use of inland waterways. Locally he has been an active volunteer for several community organizations, and now plans to focus his efforts on the Bridge Hospice. Dave and his wife Nan have lived in the Campbellford area since 1982.  Their leisure pursuits include golf, curling and travel.

Donna is a seasoned business professional with over 20 years in payroll administration, customer service, IT support and project management with a focus on positive employee engagement and career development.   Donna has held treasurer positions with the Royal Canadian Legion – Branch 103 – Campbellford and Trent Hills Incredible Edibles Festival, she has also served as a Finance Committee member at Community Care Northumberland.

FRED THOMSON

FRED THOMSON

Fred has an extensive background in agriculture, including 18 years with Agriculture Canada, 20 years with the Crop Insurance Commission of Ontario (now Agricorp), and most recently with AgCall as a project manager for corporate clients. Fred lives on a Campbellford-area Century farm that has been continuously farmed by his family since 1854. He grows crops and operates a custom seed cleaning business. Always embracing new challenges, he and his son Adam recently established a hop yard on the farm. Fred understands the demands of providing end-of-life care at home, and views The Bridge Hospice as a wonderful and much-needed service for the community.

ERIN KEOGH

Erin is a lifelong local – with strong community ties.  A Registered Practical Nurse with extensive experience in management, coordination of multi-disciplinary, cross-department projects, Erin is the current Manager of Health information and Chief Privacy officer at Campbellford Memorial Hospital.  She’s been involved in the Kent Public School Council, the Codrington Women’s Institute and helping out with our Annual Spring Walk in previous years.

DR. KELLY PARKS

Before becoming a physician, Kelly earned degrees in physiotherapy and physical education, and was a physiotherapist in Peterborough for 17 years. She then completed a Medical Doctorate degree, Family Medicine Specialty, and palliative care fellowship. Since 2014, Kelly has practised family medicine locally, and serves a very wide area from Peterborough to Belleville as community palliative care physician. She has cared for many of the residents at The Bridge Hospice, and is a past Board Director. Kelly currently serves on the Board of Directors at Campbellford Memorial Hospital as President of Medical Staff, and recently served as Interim Chief of Staff. In her spare time, Kelly skates on an adult synchronized skating team in Peterborough and enjoys boating on Lake Ontario with her husband.

JUDY PETTEY

Judy was born, raised and has recently returned  to our local community.  With both a nursing and social work background, she has extensive experience in developing and leading programs including mental health supports, Accreditation, Nursing education.  Judy sat on previous Boards with Huron Canadian Mental Health Association and Goderich Big Sister Association.  Since returning to the area, she has been involved in numerous volunteer roles including Our Annual Hospice events, the Lilac Festival, Maple Syrup Festival and Health Unit Vaccine clinics.

Lou was self-employed in a local family business (the Brighton Speedway) for over 40 years and served 12 years in municipal government and 12 years at provincial level as MPP. Lou brings with him a wealth of knowledge and a passion for hospice.  Lou is returning to our Board after a short hiatus and has been actively involved in our Annual Golf Tournament for several years.  Lou and his wife Diane have been residents of Brighton for more than 40 years.
