Following graduation from Royal Military College, Craig served four years as a commissioned officer in the Royal Canadian Air Force. He then worked in the Greater Toronto Area at various senior management levels and as an entrepreneur for over twenty years. He is a founding member of the Brighton Health Services Centre (that became the model for the provincial Family Health Teams.), and has served two terms on the Brighton Municipal Council. Other community involvements have included the Brighton Quinte West Family Health Team, the Brighton Quinte West Health Integration Committee and various community service organizations. Now that he is retired, Craig’s principal interests lie in advocating for health care, municipal development, and environmental issues. His role with The Bridge Hospice comes as a result of his belief that hospice services are a growing need but are a vastly underserviced aspect of our communities. Dave was an active member of the Campbellford Curling Club in the early 1980s, sitting on the board for seven years (including one year as president), and managed the bar and weddings for five years. He also helped navigate through the expansion phase of the club, along with many other people. Now retired, Dave and his wife, Carol, live just south of Campbellford, and spend their time golfing, curling, beekeeping, paddle boarding, and volunteering. Dave’s Mom spent the last day of her life at The Bridge Hospice in January 2017, and he realizes what an asset it is to the Trent Hills area, and how important it is to ensure that its future is secure for generations to come.
Tammy Gaignard, Director
Tammy was born and raised in Campbellford and turned the ripe age of 17 while in basic training in the Canadian Forces. She enjoyed an adventurous 25-year career. This career included learning 5 languages to assist in intelligence collection in The Cold War, The Bosnian Crisis, the Persian Gulf, and lastly Afghanistan.
When Tammy took over as President of the Campbellford Legion seven years ago, there was only $200 in the bank account. After applying for, and receiving, a $187,000 grant during our 17-month COVID closure, we were able to completely renovate and modernize much of our Branch and proudly boast a bank account that sees a deposit of $9,000 per week.
She has been happily married for 37 years and they have two very successful adult children and four grandchildren. Tammy always found death to be a perfectly natural occurrence that is rarely discussed. She has completed the Death Doula Level 1 and is anxiously awaiting the 2nd program.
