The Bridge Hospice
Board Directors
Dave MacDougall, Chair
In 2006, Dave completed a 34-year management career with Parks Canada concentrating on management of both operations and external relations programs. After a year’s retirement, Dave became a founding partner of The Canals Group, providing professional management services.
He worked at improving the international recognition of parks, canals and historic sites and positioning these as major international tourism destinations and economic drivers in their countries. His career has provided him with a solid base for his involvement in his local community. Dave is equally at home tackling community initiatives in the local boardroom or around a picnic table.
Dave is a long-time community volunteer: Lions, Kinsmen, Habitat for Humanity, Campbellford-Seymour Community Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society, Relay for Life, Campbellford Curling and Racquet Club and now, The Bridge Hospice.
Dave and his wife Nan have lived in the Campbellford area since 1982. Team Dave and Nan have two terrific daughters, two great sons-in-law and three “perfect” grand kids. Leisure time is spent enjoying family get-togethers, curling, golf and travel.
Wendy Kellar, TBH Treasurer
With over 22 years of experience, I am passionate about helping clients and families understand and take control of their finances. Born and raised in Salisbury, Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe), I immigrated to Canada, where I met and married my husband, Norm. We’ve lived in the Quinte area since 1990, raising 4 children, 15 grandchildren, and soon, 3 great-grandchildren.
Community involvement is important to me. I started volunteering in 1982, taking on roles such as chair of fundraising, Santa Claus Parade, breakfast for learning, and chair of the Parent Teacher Association. We also farmed for 18 years, growing market garden vegetables and raising clean lamb.
In 2001, I earned a Business Administration degree with honors and started my own financial planning business. Since 2005, I’ve been a board member of Bay of Quinte Advocis, holding various chair positions and currently serving as President.
In my personal time, I enjoy traveling, gardening, and crafting. My professional designations include Wealth & Estate Planning and Certified Executor Advisor. I am actively involved in estate planning and support for aging clients and their families. I am honored to serve on the Bridge Hospice board, dedicated to providing care and support to our elderly and vulnerable community members.
Fred Thomson, Secretary
Erin Keogh, Director
Trish Miller, Director
Recently drawn to the profound work of end-of-life care at The Bridge Hospice, Trish found solace in the warm and compassionate atmosphere fostered by the hospice’s staff and volunteers. Alongside her beloved Great Dane, recently qualified as a therapy dog team for Trent Hills Therapy Dogs, Trish and Lars make regular visits to Warkworth Place and wherever they can bring a smile to someone’s face, further demonstrating commitment to serving the community. With 20 years of experience in project management and business planning across government and private sectors, Trish is poised to bring valuable insights and expertise to her role with The Board of Directors at The Bridge Hospice. Having called Cramahe Township home for the past 12 years and looking toward retirement in the coming years, Trish is eager to deepen her involvement in the community and make a positive local impact through her work at The Bridge.
