Thank You!

The Bridge Hospice would like to thank every individual and community group that has contributed to our fundraising efforts!
Here is a sampling of recent contributions made through grants and special events.

ROYAL CANADIAN LEGION - BRANCH 380

A big thank you to the fabulous folks at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 380 Warkworth! Thank you for your continued support of The Bridge Hospice and all the value you add to our community.

KINSMEN OVER 40

This morning Jim Peeling and Tom Dafoe of K-40 Club, Campbellford dropped by with a “big” cheque and smiles for The Bridge Hospice today.

Fun fact: Jim tells us “K-40” refers to Kinsmen over 40 (just barely!), and this group meets monthly to socialize and do good in the community.

Jim (left) and Tom were joined on the bridge by Cait Dean from the hospice.

Thank you for thinking of us K-40! Much appreciated!

PERCY BOOM RIVER RATS

Shoutout to PERCY BOOM RIVER RATS Snowmobile Club!

Shawn Whalen dropped by with a cheque for $250 — proceeds from a 50/50 draw at an appreciation dinner for landowners & volunteers.

The River Rats donated $250 last year as well. Thank you & happy sleddin’!

CAMPBELLFORD SENIORS CLUB

Shoutout to the Campbellford Seniors Group!

They recently gave Kerri & Carol the opportunity to talk about what we do at The Bridge Hospice, plus donated proceeds from recent activities.

Thanks to President John Mancini and every member. This is one lively and engaged group!

ROYAL CANADIAN LEGION - BRANCH 380

A big salute to the Royal Canadian Legion’s Ontario Command Ladies Auxiliary Charitable Foundation — ably represented today by Karen Deziel and Roger Brummell of Branch 380 (Warkworth).

Their generous donation went toward the purchase of mattress overlays for our single beds and 1 specialized alternating pressure air mattress for our double bed — adding comfort, improving rest, and protecting delicate skin. All these features are so very important at end of life.

Thank you again to everyone at the Royal Canadian Legion for your continuing support!

TRENT HILLS FIRE DEPARTMENT - STATION 2

A big shout out to our friends & neighbors at Trent Hills Fire Department Station 2 – Hastings – for their incredible donation of over $1600 raised through their annual Toonie draw.

NORTHUMBERLAND DISTRICT ATV RIDERS CLUB

Wow!  Thank you to club members who donated $500 from the proceeds of the delicious lunch they served during the 3rd Annual Trent Hills Fire ATV Fun Run!

BLACK & WHITE BALL

Another spectacular evening was hosted by Bev Roy in support of The Bridge Hospice!  Her 8th Annual Black & White Ball was a magical evening filled with music, dancing and fabulous food!  Bev donated a total of $3,500 after her event this year – MAGNIFICENT!

ORDER OF THE EASTER STAR

This week we were guests of the Order of the Eastern Star (Warkworth Chapter #279) at Percy Masonic Lodge.  Jean Bryan presented The Bridge Hospice with a cheque, which included proceeds from the Perfect Pie Contest.  David Smith surprised us with an additional donation from the former Colborne Chapter #82.  Thank you very much to the generous and community-minded Order of the Eastern Star!  From left: Brenda Partridge, Kerri-Anne Wilson, Worthy Matron Jean Bryan, Worthy Patron Al Bryan, and Worthy Patron David Smith.

SCHOOL HOUSE GARDENS

Tom Harris & Dennis Gebhardt, long-time TBH volunteers – not to mention incredibly talented gardeners – graciously opened their stunning Schoolhouse Gardens to the public on Father’s Day.  Tom & Dennis generously raised proceeds – a total of $355 – in support of The Bridge Hospice – thank you!

ROYAL CANADIAN LEGION - BRANCH 380

WOW!  We were overwhelmed when our Warkworth Legion Branch dropped by to make a donation of $3000!  What a generous and unexpected gift from an extremely community minded organization.  Pictured with Kerri-Anne are Branch  President, Karen Deziel and member, Pippa Roberts.
